So Much Killer
In 2015 my friend Rachie Rach and I went to a club in downtown New London to see some metal bands for fun. Who doesn’t need some metal in there life now and then. Well this band Nightbitch was playing, yes Nightbitch, we thought that was hysterical, so they seemed to get us going and the back of their t-shirt said SO MUCH KILLER in huge white on black graphic and that along with their band name Nightbitch well we just thought that…was …Killer
So I was inspired by our So much Killer adventure and made it into this graphic and projected it on to a board and away I went… well it is buried now under another painting still unfinished. Might be time to resurrect it.
Killer (adj) really badass So then what about about “So Much Killer” you say? well “so much more badass” of course.

Through the Griffis and Orpheus Foundation, in the Spring of 2006 I was granted a fellowship to Polk Serafimova, Bulgaria. My hosts were the beloved Poet Laureate, Lyubomir Levchev and his wife, the renowned painter Dora Levchev. I stayed in a beautiful house with another artist and friend Greg Bowerman. For six weeks in the Rhodope Mountains we painted, we ate and drank with the local people, explored the small surrounding towns including Smolyan and did some light traveling around the country visiting Sofia and Plovdiv.

In July 2012 during my time as curator at Hygienic Art Galleries I put together this show with Edward Belbruno. “Cosmic Chaotic Pathways” featuring the work of Ed but also I invited local artists to respond to his work, science or his book. This was my take based on the ballistic escape trajectory plan from the earth moon system of the “for real” rocket scientist, astrophysicist Edward Belbruno. Check out his book Fly me to the Moon
